Matthew 5 ; and questions


(1). In Matthew 5 how many How blest are there? V-1 to 16

(2).V-21 You have learned that our forefathers were told , "Do not commit murder; anyone who commits murder must be brought to judgment."But what I tell you is this ; What did he say ?

(3).What if when you are bringing your gift to the altar , and you remember your brother has a grievance against you. What should we do ? V-23

(4). V-27 Jesus said , "You have learned that they were told , Do not commit adultery." and Jesus went on to say what about this ?

(5).V-31 What does Jesus say about divorce is it wrong or right or is there any reason for it?

(6)V-33 What does Jesus think of breaking an oath ?

(7). V-38" Eye for eye , tooth for tooth ,." Is this the teachings of Jesus?

(8).V-43 does Jesus say to love our neighbors and hate our enemies ?

Matthew 5 ; and the answers


(1). 9

(2). Anyone who nurses anger against his brother must be brought to judgment. If he abuses his brother he must answer for it to the court; if he sneers at him he will have to answer for it in the fires in hell.

(3). "First go and make your peace with your brother , and only then come back and offer your gift."

(4). "If a man looks on a woman with a lustful eye, he has already committed adultery with her in his heart ."

(5). "If a man divorces his wife for any cause other than unchastest he involves her in adultery ;m and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery."

(6). "You are not to swear at all -- not by heaven , for it is God's throne , not by earth , for it is his footstool , nor by Jerusalem ,for it is the city of the great King , nor by your head , because you cannot turn one hear of it white or black . Plan yes or no is all you need to say; anything beyond that comes from the devil."

(7)."Do not set yourself against the man who wrongs you. If someone slaps you on the right cheek , turn and offer him your left. If a man wants to sue you for your shirt , let him have your coat as well.If a man in authority makes you go one mile , go with him two.Give what you are ask to give ; and do not turn back on a man who wants to borrow."

(8). "Love your enemies and pray for your persecutors; only so can you be children of your heavenly Father, who makes his sun rise on good and bad alike, and send the rain on the honest and the dishonest. If you love only those who love you , what reward can you expect?"
