Bible study
Matthew 5; & 6; (notes )

Matthew 5 13 we find that all Christians are the salt of the world.

Matthew 6; 5 to 8 Jesus is telling us not to stand on street corners and pray or pray very loud for all to hear. Jesus says to pray quietly by our selves, so the Father hears us only.

Matthew 6; 9 to 13 is the Lords prayer.

"Our Father in heaven"

Our Father not praying to Jesus him self as the Father and Jesus are two beings not one. Jesus says to pray to the Father not to Mary or a saint , or Buddha or any other being or spirit.

"thy name be hallowed"

The Father's name be holly

"thy kingdom come"

May His kingdom cone to the earth

"thy will be done"

The Fathers will be done not our will

"on earth as in heaven."

The Fathers will be done on earth as well as heaven

"Give us today our daily bread."

Give us the food we need to eat this day.

"Forgive us the wrong we have done,"

Forgive us the wrongs and sins we have done. For if we are not forgiven each day we can not go to heaven.

"as we have forgiven those who have wronged us."

We must forgive others before we can be forgiven

"And do not bring us to the test,"

Keep us from being tested by the devil, by the evil one trying to use our weakness against us

"but save us from the evile one."

Save us from the devil.Aman

9 Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
